Hi everyone I have another Squashed Orb project today with a difference!
I have been asked by a few people to make a smaller version and one of my lovely YouTube subscribers Irene George had a great idea of putting her homemade Potpourri into one…this then gave me the idea to do the same.
I couldn’t have done this project without the awesome Screw Punch by Xcuts. I’ve shared a few links to this product below varying in price.
This is such a useful tool allowing you to punch holes anywhere on your surface area.
Both the papers used are by Docrafts, the Christmas paper is my Favourite ‘Love Santa’ and the brush stroke pattern paper is called ‘Capsule Pigment’ both great packs of 36 12 x 12 sheets which I highly recommend you getting as they are great for 3D projects and good value for money.
To make these you will need…
2 pieces of 8 x 8.1/4 card stock or good paper.
Score along the 8′ side at 2′, 4′ & 6′.
Score along the 8.1/4 side at 2′, 4′, 6′ & 8′.
12′ of ribbon for the handle.
For the homemade potpourri, I dried my own oranges and added some Cinnamon and wooden balls all covered in some wonderful oil called ‘Christmas in a Bottle’ by Jormaepourri.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how you need to do the extra scoring and put it all together.
I have a Christmas one for the living room by my Christmas Tree and the other is hanging near the door in my craft room giving it a beautiful smell every time I walk in.
Hope you enjoyed this fun project and home decor idea.
Happy crafting.
Sam
