Hello everyone, today I bring you my last tutorial of 2017 and what better way than a DIY Calendar!
This is a huge calendar measuring slightly larger than A4 size.
There are lots of calendars in China however their years run differently to the western calendars and I needed something that had plenty of room to write on and it’s homemade and that’s what I’m all about.
I found on Pinterest tons and tons of free printable calendars, this one by Paper Trail Design was my favourite.
I cut off the months as I made my own but if you don’t want to do that then just keep the print out as they are.
I also made this Perpetual Calendar back in June which you may also like.
To make today Giant Monthly Calendar you will need…
12 pieces of coloured A4 card, you can use letter paper size as well but you will need to change a few measurements.
Your printable calendar with all 12 months.
12 pieces of 11.1/4 x 7.3/4 pattern paper. My papers are the Pigment Capsule Elements range by Docrafts
2 or 4 pieces of 12 x 8.3/4 strong card for the stand, I used the top and bottom sheets of card that comes with my 12 x 12 paper packs.
3 pieces of strong card 2 x 12 for the hinges. Score along the 2″ side at 1″
2 pieces of strong card 4 x 12 for the base of the stand. Score along the 4″ side at 2″
x3 30mm Binder Rings
If you do want to make your own letters then I used my WRMK Mini Alphabet Punch Board, the cheapest one I’ve found is from an eBay seller.
Die cuts and embellishments to decorate how you wish.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I put it all together.
I really enjoyed making this and making it personal just for me!
Well that is it, my last tutorial of 2017 hope you like it.
