Hi everyone today is project number 3 of my Valentine’s Series 2018.
Jigsaw Puzzle & Gift Box with Hershey Kisses
I was given this wonderful Jigsaw die by a lovely lady called Ann. I received it way back last year but I’ve waited until now to use it in my Valentines Series.
I have tried looking for this exact one but not had any luck, however, I have found others. (Update I’ve since been told it is an old Tattered Lace one from their magazine subscriptions, Issue 41). A lady told me she managed to pick up a back copy from eBay.

To make today’s project you will need…
1 piece of 8.1/2 x 6.1/2 card stock for your box.
Score along the 8.1/2 side at 2″, 4″, 6″ & 8″
Score along the 6.1/2 side at 2″, 4″ & 6″I
5 pieces of 1.3/4 x 1.3/4 patterned paper to decorate the box. The papers I used were old Stampin Up ones.
I used small letter wood veneers which I heat embossed to decorate the box.
A photo of your choice and strong card to die cut the jigsaw out of a few times to make strong jigsaw pieces.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made these.
I added in some Hershey’s Kisses as a nice treat for the recipient to eat as they make the puzzle.
I also want to talk about the box a little more, the detail on the opening of this is unusual and gives a simple box a nice twist. This is a great 2 x 2 x 2 box however if you would like a slightly bigger one, I made the one below last year which measures 3 x 3 x 3 with the same unusual opening.
As I mentioned in my tutorial, this project would also be great for a hen party with funny pictures on the jigsaw or great for kids party bags, there are so many fun ways to use this die.
I hope you have fun with this and remember to share any of your makes over on my Facebook page Mixed Up Craft
Have a great day.

Hi Sam,
Thank you for this email with the link to your latest blog post.
The Jigsaw Puzzle and Gift Box with Hershy Kisses is a great project for Valentine’s Day.
I have watched your You Tube channel and commented on this project there and on your blog too.
Thank you for creating these projects and then demonstrating how to put them together in your video tutorials for us crafters. :O)

Hi Sam,
What a cool box for Valentine’s day. The recipient would spend some time making up the jigsaw puzzle. This could be sweet, funny or even a little risky!!! (If you have known the person a long, long time). :O)
