Hello everyone, I’m sorry for the delay in this blog, the last 2 days have been a rush for me and for the last 30+ hours I have been travelling back to the UK.
With the jet lag now nicely kicking in, I’m wide awake and have some time to catch up on my blogs.
Today I show you how to make these Stunning Mini Handbags.
As some of you may of read in my previous blog, I’m now receiving the monthly craft kits from Hobbybase and every week I will share a different project using the products from that month’s kits.
The January one was a rush for me as the wonderful China postal service decided to be very slow resulting in me receiving the kit with only 2 days left in January!!
The January theme was Rose Gold and the papers are stunning.
My aim is to use every piece of product they send with very little waste, ensuring we get the best value for money from the kits.
These mini gift bags use a whole piece of 6 x 6 paper and some simple folding.
To make these you will need…
1 sheet of 6 x 6 paper
Score at 2 & 4 on both sides.
You then need to score on the diagonal on the 4 outer corner squares.
Follow my tutorial below to see how I did this.
1 piece of 2″ x 1.1/4, score along the “2 side at 1” for your closure.
2 pieces of 1/4″ x 6 for your handles.
Glue dots, velcro or magnets to close the bag.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I put it all together.
I love how a simple piece of 6 x 6 paper can turn into something so pretty.
I hope you like this first Hobbybase Club tutorial from me, remember as I mentioned in my previous blog if you would like to subscribe to the March kit you have until the 21st February to do so.
Happy crafting
Sam

I am so sorry Sam, I was certain that I had left you a comment on both your You Tube channel and you blog after watching this tutorial but I must have forgotten. Chemo head again! Great when you have something to blame. Well what can I say but wonderful little 3D project one I definitely will be trying especially as I have tons and tons of beautiful 6×6 paper. Thanks for helping use some up for a great project. Any other 6 x 6 projects would be kindly appreciated. :O)
Hi Sam,
Thank you for sending me this email with the link to your blog post – Mini Handbag.
I watched your You Tube video tutorial and left a comment there and on your blog page eventually when I remembered.
I would love more projects using 6×6 paper as I have loads of beautiful paper that I need to use up because I vowed I would not purchase any new DSP until I had made a conscious effort to use up some of the stash I have already.
Till the next time
Lorraine
