Hello everyone, hope your all having a wonderful start to your weekend. I’m currently back in the UK for a holiday, catching up with friends and family.
As a lot of you will know my mum is also a crafter with a lovely craft room with two desks, so for me its home from home when I visit as my mum clears space for me so we can craft together.
There is something really special about being able to share your hobby with family especially your mum! We have such a laugh together.
Mum always makes me a little welcome home card and leaves a stash of crafty goodies on my bed for my arrival, she gets excited to show me her latest purchases or new way of sorting out her craft room.
I’m always very organised before I go on holiday and I have all my tutorials for the month already filmed and uploaded making my time back home very relaxed and fun with room to make more things to share with you all.
Today we have a day of craft shopping and lunch and then home to try it all out and make things…perfect!
I love that I have someone like my mum to get excited over a pot of Embossing Powder or the latest paper pack!
I know I’m very lucky to have someone to share all this with, I would love to know who your crafting buddy is and what fun things you do together and laugh about?
Also, a shout out to my dad who is also very supportive, he’s the comic in the family and regularly takes the mickey out of us both when we get excited about craft supplies!
Have a lovely weekend and look out over on my Facebook page as I will be sharing all the bargains I get whilst I’m back.

Hello Sam and Sam’s mom…happy crafting. Hope you find some nice crafty bargains.
Hi Sam,
I know exactly what you are talking about, although our daughter is only 3/4 of an hour away, we still have busy lives, and we always try to make time to craft together. In fact she is coming home on Tuesday for what we call a ‘playday’. It is a special time for the two of us as we chat while we craft. Alison does scrapbooking while I’m into making cards etc. Hope you have a great visit with your Mom.
Best Wishes,
Doreen
Hi Sam,
I have a friend that is a crafter and who is also unable to work due ill-health. If I am bed bound then we will craft via Face Time which is great because we can see each others projects and support each other through the process of putting our projects together. :O) Have a great time in the UK the weather here is not good at the moment but I am sure your Mum will have plenty planned for you to do together. :O)
Hi Sam,
Thank you for this email with the link to your blog post.
Have a great holiday with your Mum and Dad.
Rest and relax, it is the best medicine.
Till the next video tutorial or blog post.
