Unusual Gift Boxes & Bags

Sweet Wrapper Gift Boxes

Hello everyone, hope you’re having a nice weekend, it’s wet and miserable here in Plymouth so a perfect day to catch up on my blog and make some nice things.

Today I have these adorable Sweet Wrapper Gift Boxes.

Sweet Wrapper Gift Boxes

This project is made using supplies from the February Hobbybase Club monthly craft kit.

These boxes only use one sheet of 6 x 6 paper and are quick and easy to make.

Sweet Wrapper Gift Boxes

To make these you will need…

1 piece of 6 x 6 paper.

Score along one side at 1.7/8, 2.7/8, 4.3/4 & 5.3/4

Score along the other side at

1.7/8 then flip the paper and score again at 1.7/8

2 pieces of 10″ ribbon to tie around each end.

Circle die and sentiment for the top. I used some of the ribbon I trimmed off to decorate under the sentiment.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how you need to cut the ends and put it all together.

I think these are really cute and I can see them all piled up in a basket at a party for people to take or as favours on a table. Perfect for many occasions male or female.

Hope you like today’s tutorial and remember to share your versions of any of my makes over on my Facebook page Mixed Up Craft.

Have a great day.

  1. Sam you are definitely a ‘box’ creator, I don’t know where you get your inspiration from and then when you get an idea how on earth do you work out where to score and cut the card stock? I am always in complete awe of your skills when watching your video tutorials (even when you are on holiday too!) This is as you said a great shaped box for so many different occasions, it will have to be put into my Craft Reference book (This I keep certain instructions/diagrams of projects I want to keep and not have to look up on You Tube for in the future). Thanks again Sam :O)

  2. Hi Sam,

Thank you for sending me this email with the link to your blog post – Sweet Wrapper Gift Boxes.

I watched your video tutorial on You Tube again in complete amazement in firstly how you come up with the ideas for box shapes and then how you work out how to make them. I left a comment on both your You Tube channel and on your blog post.

    Till the next project
