Very Easy Rocker Card

Hello everyone, today kicks starts my Mother’s Day series 2018

With Mother’s Day only a few weeks away here in the UK you have plenty of time to make something wonderful.

Every day this week I will share a different Mother’s Day themed project, so first up is this very easy Rocker card.

Easy Rocker Card

I thought this style was perfect for a Mother’s Day card.

I had lots of fun making this because I had my mum join me in my tutorial, she is also a crafter and we enjoy crafting together and always have a giggle.

To make these cards you will need…

Coloured card to cut an 8.1/4 diameter circle. If you’re using a compass you need to set it at 4.1/8″. I mentioned in my tutorial about possibly using the Xcut Shape Cutter which I have used before. I wanted to check the size first as I suspected it would possibly be smaller then 8.1/4″ and it was, however, you can still use it and just have a smaller card as the largest circle in this set will give you a 6″-7″ circle.

1 piece of 8 x 3.3/4 patterned paper, I’ve used the beautiful Dovecrafts, Nature’s Grace 12 x 12 paper pack from Hobbycraft.

A nest of square dies for the sentiment.

Sentiment stamp of your choice for the front.

Flower dies and punches to decorate. In the tutorial, I used a heavy ball ended stylus to distress and shape the die cut flowers, these are my mums and I love them…It turns out they are actually a sculpting tool used in pottery making, you can get them on eBay

Embellishments and ribbon.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.

I Hope you enjoyed my first Mother’s Day project for this year’s series If you would like to see last years Mother’s Day projects you can find my YouTube playlist here.

See you again tomorrow.

  1. Great that since you are still with your Mum that she should be with you crafting as she supported your video tutorials. Love this rocker card, I love interactive cards no matter what way they are interactive. All the flowers and embellishments lets us crafters know that we can use whatever is in our stash to decorate our projects. Thank you Sam and Sam’s Mum for sharing this project with us crafters today. :O)
