Unusual Gift Boxes & Bags

Woven Easter Basket

Hello everyone, today kick starts my Easter Series 2018!

Every day this week I will be sharing a total of 7 Easter themed projects to help inspire you all and get you creating your own.

Here is my Large Woven Easter Basket.

I’ve had this woven idea wrote down in my little book for ages, and finally, I’ve come up with this.

I’m so pleased with how real it looks, it looks like balsa wood.

These little carrots I purchased finished it off perfectly.

To make these baskets you will need…

32 strips of 1″ x 11″ Kraft card for the 2 woven sides. Mine is the Papermania Kraft Stax from The Range.

2 pieces of 4″ x 8.1/4 for your side panels.

Score along the 4″ side at 3/8″ & 3.5/8 and then at 2″ but just down to 6″.

Score along the 8.1/4 side at 7.3/4.

1 piece of 1″ x 11″ for your handle.

2 brads.

Ink to distress (optional).

The mini carrots and shredded paper I used are from Poundland.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.

I hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial and found it easy to follow.

Once you get it started it’s very easy to do and it’s easy to change the sizes to suit your needs.

Please share any of your makes over on my Facebook page Mixed Up Craft and on Instagram using #mixedupcraft, I love seeing what you have all made.

Happy crafting

Sam
