Hello, today I have these cute Shaker Cards in the shape of an Easter egg.
Made just like any other Shaker card, this colourful, fun style is always a favourite for me.
I used the free downloadable Easter papers from Trimcraft which are so cute and there is a great selection to choose. Click here to be taken to the free downloads.
I used the Easter Egg die set from Xcut and I’ve found it available on eBay.
To make these cards you will need…
Easter Egg Nesting Dies, largest and second largest. This is a nest of 5.
Pattern papers of your choice.
Pre-made 5 x 7 card base or plain card 10″ x 7″ scored along the long side at 5″
Sequins.
Double sided foam tape.
Greece proof paper to make cutting your foam strips much easier.
Embossing buddy to remove any sticky bits and static.
5″ x 7″ piece of Acetate.
5.1/2 x 2″ plain card for your stand. Score along the long side at 1/2″, 3″, 4″ & 5″
Wet Glue.
Strong double-sided tape or red tape.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.
As I mentioned this is possibly my favourite style card it gives me the most joy when making them.
With a little fussy cutting from the free downloads, you can add some nice detail to your cards and it all matches perfectly.
Only 1 more project left now for my Easter Series 2018 see you again tomorrow for the finale.
Happy crafting
Sam
