Unusual Gift Boxes & Bags

Pretty Curve Top Gift Bag

Hello everyone, here we are again at the beginning of another week!

If you are crafting today then maybe you would like to try these very cute Curve Top gift bags.

Curve Top Gift Bags

These use 2 sheets of 12 x 12 and you can choose whether to add handles or not.

I used the beautiful V&A paper pack by Trimcraft, I purchased mine from  Hobbybase UK.

You can receive 10% off by entering discount code MIXEDUP at the checkout.

To make these bags you will need…

2 sheets of 12 x 12 strong paper or cardstock. The V&A paper is 150gsm.

Score along one of the 12″ sides at 1/2″ & 8″

Then rotate the paper so the 1/2″ score line you just scored is running along the top of your scoreboard, score again at 4″, repeat this again on the other piece.

I show you more scoring to make the bag fold flat, but it’s easier to follow my tutorial below for that.

You will need a round plate that has a diameter larger then 7.1/2 to create the curved top.

Approximately  13″ of ribbon.

If you want to add handles then you will need 2 pieces of 1/2″ x 11″, A4 or 12″, whatever length the card is your using.

I really love this simple style and how by just changing the top to a curved shape it creates a completely different gift bag, also by adding handles that change’s the look again.

I made matching tags with a nest of tag dies I have and heat embossed some flourishes and a sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you give this bag a go. remember to share your makes with me over on my Facebook page Mixed Up Craft.

Have a great week.

Sam
