Hi everyone and happy Friday!
Today I’m excited to share these awesome reinforced gift boxes finished with a very fun Firework Topper.
I had my current favourite “Let’s Celebrate” paper pack by Trimcraft, the papers in this pack are awesome and such fun prints that I wanted to show them off. These hinged gift boxes worked perfectly, and the firework topper was lots of fun to make.
I purchased the papers from The Range UK as they have them for 2 for 20 pounds which is the best deal I can find.
To make these you will need 3 pieces of 12 x 12 paper.
Score 2 of the sheets at 3″ & 9″ on all sides.
Score the other piece at 1.1/2, 3″, 9″ & 10.1/2 on all sides.
For the firework you will use paper that you cut away from the inside base, so don’t throw any of the paper away.
To cut the trim I used what is known as Veg Scissors
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.
These very roomy 6 x 6 x 3 boxes will fit so much in and the hinged lid makes them very easy to open and close.
Hope you enjoyed today’s tutorial and give them a go, they also make great storage boxes for your craft room.
Happy crafting everyone, have a wonderful weekend.
Sam
