Two of my favourite style cards are an Easel card and a Gatefold card, so I thought of combining the two!

Like all my cards these fold up nicely held together with a belly band.

I used the amazing papers from the First Edition “Let’s Celebrate” paper pack. Available from The Range.

I fussy cut this birthday cake from one of the 12 x 12 sheets.

To make this card you will need…

1 piece of 12″ x 10.1/4 card.

Score along the 12″ side at 7″ & 9.1/2

Score along the 10.1/4 making sure your two previous score lines are towards the bottom of your scoreboard. Score at 2.1/2 just down to the first score line then 2.5/8 all the way down, then 7.5/8 all the way down & 7.3/4 just to the first score line.

1 piece of 4.3/4 x 6.3/4 to mat the inside base of your card.

1 piece of 4.3/4 2.1/4 to mat your easel part of the card.

4 pieces of 2.1/4 x 6.3/4 for your panels to mat the inside and outsides of your door.

2 pieces of 2 x 6.1/2 to layer on top of the inside doors.

1 piece of 1.1/2x 12″ for your belly band.

A topper for your easel part, no more the 4.1/2 in hight so it doesn’t hang out of the top of your card.

I punched out 2 1″ circles for my stoppers and different oval sizes for my sentiment and belly band.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.

There are plenty of places to write your message, I choose to put mine under the easel section.
