Hi everyone, here is project number 7 of my Creative Card Series 2018 and the last for this year’s series.
Large Waterfall Card or Mini Album
I decided to do this card as I have been asked so many times to do a larger version of last years very popular Easy Waterfall Card.
The tutorial below will show you how to make a small one with 6 pages.
Today’s tutorial will show you how to make one with 14 pages or 28 pages as you can easily double this project.
Perfect for those special birthdays, I can see this being used for a babies first birthday and you can document their first year on all the pages.
This waterfall is held together with a magnetic belly band or wrap.
Below is a more masculine version, with a travel theme.
To make this great card you will need…
2 pieces of 6″ x 8.1/2 for your card front and back.
1 – 4 pieces of 5.3/4 x 8.1/4 pattern or plain card to mat all the sides of your card base.
1- 4 pieces of 8″ x 5.1/2 to layer on top (optional)
2 pieces of 5.1/4 x 7″ strong card for the pully part of the card. The 2 pieces will help reinforce it and give you a nice smooth result.
1 piece of 5″ x 6.3/4 pattern paper to layer on top.
1 piece of 2″ x 1.1/4 plain card for your tab.
1 piece of 1.3/4 x 1″ pattern paper to layer on top.
1 piece of 3/4″ x A4 length of 12″ card.
2 pieces of 5″ x 2″ for your inside belly band or wrap.
Score along the 5″ side at 1″.
Circle die cuts to decorate the belly band.
1 piece of 1.1/2 x 7″ card for the spine of your card.
A4 length or 12″ length x 5″ for your mechanism. Score along the longest side at 4.3/4 and then every 1/4″ up to 8.1/4.
14 pieces of 5.1/2 x 4″ white card for your pages.
14 pieces of 5.1/4 x 3.3/4 pattern paper to mat your pages.
1 piece of 1.3/4 x 12″ for your main outer belly band.
Magnets or Velcro dots for your closure.
My V&A papers used for the first one I showed at the beginning are by Trimcraft, First Edition and available from Amazon.
The Docrafts, Mr Mister papers are from 2016 and no longer available.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.
It all folds up nicely held together with a belly band.
It’s a wrap guys, once again thank you so much for all your love for this year’s series, I’ve loved seeing your versions and loved reading all your comments.
