Hi everyone, this weeks Hobbybase Kit tutorial are these bold Criss-Cross Pocket Cards with a Stand.
I love the large insert making these cards perfect for an “announcement” or “save the date ” cards.
It just shows that you can mix up your supplies and still create great projects.
I made matching envelopes as I already had the 12 x 12 V&A papers to match the 6 x 6 ones we received in one of the kits.
The simple stand on the back shows off your card perfectly but still folds flat fitting in your envelope.
To make these cards you will need…
1 piece of 12 x 12 card, score both pieces along the 12″ side at 6″, follow my tutorial below to see where you need to cut each piece.
1 piece of 7.1/2 x 4″ for your stand. Score at 3″, 6″, 6.1/2 & 7″ along the 7.1/2 side.
1 or 2 pieces of 5.1/4 x 5.1/4 pattern paper for your triangles to decorate the front.
1 piece of 5.1/2 x 5.1/2 card for your insert.
2 circle die cuts, I used my 2″ punch and silver Mirri card for my tab.
1 piece of 10″ x 10″ paper for your envelope, using the guide for the 6″ x 6.1/2 card size on your Envelope Punch Board.
A selection of die cuts and embellishments to decorate.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.
The Crafters Companion foils are really lovely and tie everything together.
