MIXED UP CRAFT

“Happy Mamma” Scrapbook layout

Hi everyone, little late with my blogs posts, so sitting down now with a cuppa to catch up!

Yesterday I shared my weekly scrapbook layout which is one of me as a baby.

I wanted an album that represented me and I think this expresses my personality perfectly.

This is a mixed media layout as I’ve used acyclic paint, stenciling and foiling. It came together very quickly and I’m super pleased with the bold finish I’ve achieved.

The title for this layout is actually my family nickname. As I explain in the tutorial below, my sister when she was little could never say my name properly and so, called me “Mamma”. It’s stuck ever since and my dad still calls me it…so, “Happy Mamma” seemed the perfect title.

To make the happy word I used my new “Happy Jig” by WRMK, it’s great for making metal sentiments and shapes and something you will see me using more in future tutorials. You can purchase the Happy Jig in the UK here.

Check out my quick process video below, showing you how I put it all together.

I love using the foiling technique to add shine and shimmer to my layouts.

Finished off with chipboard flowers and letters from Rosie’s Studio and gold Nuvo drops.

Enjoy.
