Hello everyone is it really Monday again!
Today I have this cute and useful Travel Mini Album.
This is a 6-page album with another 6 separate pocket pages with photo mats.
The idea for this album came from the awesome free papers in the August 2018 issue of Making Cards Magazine. As soon as I saw the postcard style images I knew I had to make an album with them. You can buy all the back issues and digital copies here.
I love the bold images from the different countries & places.
The wording I used on the front is from the “Wander” sticker pack by My Mind’s Eye.
I love the hardware used on this album, the corner protectors have an art deco look to them and match perfectly with the papers and the binder rings held the whole album together finishing off the look.

Each pocket has a pull-out photo mat and attached to the album with a laminated hinge.
To make this album you will need…
6 letter envelopes mine are 4.1/2 x 9.1/2 in size. Trim off the open end so its 5.3/4 x 4.1/2
12 pieces of 4.1/4 x 5.1/2 black card to mat your envelope pockets.
12 pieces of 3.3/4 x 4.7/8 pattern paper to layer on top of your envelope pockets or use the postcard images as I did.
6 pieces of 4 x 5.5/8 card for your photo mats to go in each pocket.
I used my circle punch and cut 12 pieces of black card to stick on the top of each photo mat as a tab to pull it in and out.
6 pieces of 1.3/4 x 3.3/4 acetate, I do end up trimming this back again in the tutorial so it’s 1.1/2 x 3.3/4, but I suggest you watch that part of the tutorial first so not to confuse you.
2 pieces of 6.1/4 x 6.1/2 chipboard, I used 1mm thick board from the back of my paper packs.
2 pieces of 8″ x 8″ pattern paper to decorate for front and back pages. I used the free papers again from the magazine.
6 pieces of 6″ x 6″ card for your pages.
6 pieces of 5.1/4 x 5.3/4 black card to mat your pages.
I used eyelets or grommet’s on every page, available from Amazon.
My metal corner protectors are 16mm x 4mm from eBay.
The binder rings are approximately 35mm diameter available from eBay
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
The hardware gives the album a really professional finish making these perfect to give as gifts.
Please let me know what you think of this mini album and share any versions you decide to make.
Have a great week.
