Hey guys, this weeks Hobby base card is this cool fun fold, a Pop Up Easel Card or Corner Easel Card, I’ve combined two card folds together.
For this card, I’ve used the First Edition “Let’s Celebrate” papers and Krafty Panda “Magical Unicorns” stamp. The large Dovecraft “Happy Birthday” stamp on the front of the card has since sold out from Hobbybase as it was a sale item, however, you should be able to find this from other sellers.
These cards are made using one sheet of A4 card or Letter paper size and fold down to approximately a 4″ x 6″ card size.
I love both the colours and think they are so fun and make perfect birthday cards.
To make these cards you will need…
1 sheet of A4 or letter paper. If you’re using A4 size score along the 11.3/4 length at 5.7/8 and then score the shorter 8.1/4 side at 4.1/8.
If your using letter paper size you need to score at 5.1/2 along the 11″ side and 4.1/4 along the 8.1/2 side.
If you’re using A4 card size for this card you will need the following…
3 pieces of 5.5/8 x 3.7/8 pattern paper to decorate the front and two inside sides of your card.
1 piece of white card the same size again 5.5/8 x 3.7/8 for the back of your card to stamp and write your sentiment.
If your using letter paper size, you will need the following…
3 pieces of 5.1/4 x 4″ pattern paper to decorate the front and two inside sides of your card.
1 piece of white card the same size again 5.1/4 x 4″ for the back of your card to stamp and write your sentiment.
A nest of circle dies for your easel card part.
Velcro dots, double-sided foam and embellishments to finish it all off.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
This cute easel card in the centre works so well and when lied flat it kind of looks like a birthday cake!

This is awesome Sam, great design xx
Hello, I tried this card idea and found that the corner part would not lay down on top of each other evenly so I decided to use one sheet of the corner leaving 1/4 inch tab line. glued it inside and covered that with the decorative sheet on top. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Emma 🙂
Sounds like you found a way that worked for you, glad you liked it 🙂
