Pop Up Diamond Fold Card

Hi everyone, today’s card happened by accident as I had intended to make a large Diamond Fold Card but ruined it so I cut the end off and got this.

This card is so fun and really has a spring to it when it pops up!

It folds flat fitting into a 6 x 6 envelope and has a nice space on the back to write your message.

I used the Trimcraft “Fiesta Fever” paper pack from Hobbybase.

The fun pun stamp set is the “It’s The Little Things” by Woodware Craft Collection, available from Hobbybase.

To make this card you will need…

1 piece of 12″ x 6″ strong card, I use and recommend the Papermania Colossal Capsule Coloured Card Pack which is 216gsm.

Score along the 12″ side and 3″ then flip the card over and score at 6″, this will help when folding the card and prevent any cracking.

1 piece of 4″ x 4″ patterned paper to decorate the front of your card.

1 piece of 4″ x 4″ or 3″ x 3″ white card to stick on the back for your message.

1 piece of 3″ x 3″ coloured card to layer on top.

1 piece of 2.5/8 x 2.5/8 white card to stamp on the front of your card.

1 piece of 2.1/2 x 2./12 white card for the triangle mats on the base.

1 piece of 2.1/8 x 2.1/8 coloured card to layer on top of your mats. I embossed this piece to give the card some texture.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.

I can’t decide whether I prefer the Orange or the Purple, I love how bright and bold they are.

The little-embossed detail gives the card some texture.

I recommend that you don’t overdo the decoration as to much weight will cause the card to flatten.

Happy crafting everyone, I hope you enjoy making this one.
