Hey everyone, I have another Diamond Fold card this week, seems I’ve gone diamond mad!
These Double Diamond Fold Cards are something I’ve made before, however, I was reminded about them recently after seeing them over on The Craft Blog by Trimcraft.
These have such an awesome shape, they really pop!
As you can probably tell I’m obsessing a little over the “Fiesta Fever” paper pack by First Edition. It’s my go-to atm, the bold colours and unusual designs work well for so many projects. The paper pack is available from Hobbybase.
Like a lot of fun fold cards, this may look complicated, but really it’s not, just a few angled score lines to get right and you have this beautiful card.
These fold completely flat and fit nicely into a 6 x 6 envelope.
To make these you will need…
1 piece of 12″ x 6″ cardstock, I use the Papermania, Colossal Capsule Colours Cardstock.
Score along the 12″ side at 3″, 4.1/2, 7.1/2 & 9″
2 pieces of 2.3/4 x 5.3/4, 1 piece will be in patterned paper to mat the front of your card and the other piece in white cardstock to mat the back of your card and write your message.
2 pieces of 2.5/8 x 5.1/2 for your large diamond shaped pieces on each side.
4 pieces of 1.1/8 x 2.3/8 white or patterned paper for your smaller triangles.
For the rosette, I used 1 piece of 1.1/2 x 11.3/4 navy cardstock, scoring along the 11.3/4 side at every 1/4″
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.
There is plenty of space on the back for you to stamp your sentiment and write your message.
They stand freely and will stand out on any mantle or side table.
I kept the decoration simple which this large rosette and fun sentiment.
Hope you like this card and give it a go.
Thank you for stopping by.
