Scrapbook Layout “Magical Fireworks”

Me again! I usually post my Scrapbook layouts on A Sunday but I have other videos going up and didn’t want to bombard you with too much in one day!

With fireworks night only a few days away I decided to do this fun fireworks-themed layout of me and my dad.

This was taken a few years ago now when I was a blonde!

You will see in the title that it actually reads “Woohoo! Magical Fireworks NOT” This is because they are cake topper fireworks and latest about 10 seconds! I had some leftover and suggested using them on fireworks night, as that year we hadn’t brought any proper ones!.

I actually don’t have any firework themed papers or accessories, so I had to root around to find something suitable. I mentioned in my process video that the paper I used was from the Simply Creative ” Stargazer” pack but actually it was from the First Edition “Beyond the shore” pack

There was a really nice Galaxy background looking paper which I thought would work well.

To create the Fireworks in the background I used my Tombow tacky glue and foils. This is a really fun and easy technique which I used many times. You can find a more detailed tutorial on foiling below.

I was really pleased with how well the foiling turned out on this layout. I added a wave of flat back gems, foam star stickers and Nuvo drops, I wanted a “Milky Way” kind of effect.

Check out my full process video below showing you how I made it.

The glitter “Fun” ephemera was from Rosie’s Studio and really pops layered over the black cardstock.

I also added a stripe of silver foiled sellotape through the middle with a thinner purple washi tape over the top.

As always the whole layout was finished with some black & blizzard glitter Nuvo Drops.

Happy crafting

Sam
