Hi everyone, today I’m sharing my first official Design Team project for Trimcraft.
I wanted to make a fun fold card and came up with these Side Panel Fold ones.
As always I try to break down all of my tutorials so that everyone can make them, this one may look complicated but really it isn’t, all I would say is that precision is key for making this card.
The card fold is really different and very eye-catching with all the different sides and levels.
The whole card folds flat and fits into a 5″ x 7″ envelope.
I have used the beautiful New V&A 2 collection by Trimcraft, there is so much in this collection, from the gorgeous papers to wonderful stamps and matching dies.
Below I have shared the collection with links for you to purchase if you wish.

Flat Back Pearl Embellishments
The colours in this collection are so so pretty, I can’t wait to start making gift bags and boxes with it.
To make these cards you will need…
1 piece of 10″ x 7″ cardstock.
For all the scoring and cutting please follow my tutorial below along with the template attached.
1 piece of 4.3/4 x 6.3/4 white cardstock to mat the frame part of the card.
1 piece of 6.1/2 x 4.1/2 pattern paper to layer on top of your frame.
1 piece of 3.3/4 x 4.3/4 to mat the main inside of the card.
1 piece of 3.1/2 x 4.1/2 to layer on top of your mat, this is the piece I’ve embossed.
2 pieces of 2.1/4 x 6.3/4 white cardstock to mat the front and back of your side panel.
1 piece of 6.1/2 x 2″ of pattern paper to layer on top of your mat.
If you want to make the bookmark and pocket, you will need a piece of 2″ x 6″ and then decorate how you wish, for the pocket you need a piece of 2.1/4 x 1.1/2 and a 2″ X 1.1/4 mat to decorate.
Sentiments and embellishments to decorate how you wish.
Check out my full tutorial below showing you how I made it.
This card has such a nice profile and stands up really well.
The one below with the bookmark is the perfect way to send a little gift for any bookworms you may know. 🙂
I hope you enjoy today’s fun fold card and give it a go this weekend.
Remember to share any of your makes inspired by my tutorials over on my Facebook group Mixed Up Crafters
Have a lovely weekend
