Christmas Bauble Shaker Card

Hi everyone, for this weeks Hobbybase Card I have made these fun Shaker Cards in the shape of a Christmas Bauble.

The idea is that the bauble is hanging from the Christmas Tree, so I went a little crazy with my favourite sprig/foliage die.

I love all the colour this card brings, still sticking to the traditional red and green but then adding in the multicolor shaker bits and silver frame.

I used the Hobbybase “Merry Christmas” die, I love the detail of this die and the cute Reindeer at either end.

I have checked their website and it looks like they have sold out, however you can easily add any sentiment onto your card.

To make this style card you will need…

One 5″ X 7″ card blank, of course, you can use any size you like but I do like the proportions of a 5″ x 7″ card.

1 piece of 4.3/4 x 6.3/4 white cardstock to mat your card.

A selection of circle dies to create your bauble. The largest being approximately 3.1/2″

A sheet of acetate slightly bigger then your largest circle die.

Mirrored cardstock for the bauble.

Sequins or small discs like I used for your shaker element. Mine are actually party sprinkles which I think I picked up down the party aisle in the supermarket.

A sentiment of your choice, a small piece of string and some leaf/sprig die.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.

I think these look so effective, I love cards with movement.

I hope you give these a go.

Happy crafting
