Hey everyone, to kick-start the week I have these large gift bags for you to try.
These bags measure 4″ x 12″ x 8″ so a nice big size for some lovely gifts or just to display in our craft rooms as we like to do.
I used the V&A 2 collection to cover the gift bags and the matching glitter flowers and sticker to decorate.
All of this collection is available from Hobbycraft UK
To make these bags you will need…
2 pieces of 12″ x 12″ cardstock for the front and back of your gift bag, I used plain cream which I purchased from The Works UK. Score on any side at 4″, do this on both pieces.
2 pieces of 5″ x 6″ cardstock for the sides of your gift bag. Score along the 5″ side at 1/2″ & 4.1/2 then score along the 6″ side at 1/2″, then rotate back into the original position and score at 2.1/2 but only about 3/4 of the way down, I scored down to the 4″ marker on the left of my scoreboard.
2 pieces of 11.1/2 x 7.1/2 pattern paper to decorate the front and back of your bag.
1 piece of 12″ x 1″ cardstock for the handle.
1 piece of 12″ x 3/4″ pattern paper to decorate your handle.
To make the circle closure I used my XCUT Circle Cutter. I found this available from Craftelier and it’s on sale.
Ribbon and embellishments to decorate.
Check out my full tutorial below.
This is my favourite paper from the pack, it’s a linen paper so it has a really lovely texture.
I love the closure on this gift bag and the large circle flap.
I hope you enjoy my first gift bag of 2019 and gift it a go.
Thank you for stopping by.
