Hi everyone, earlier I shared this very pretty Side Curve Card.
The focus on this card is the beautiful Crafters Companion “Filigree Lace” die available from Hobbybase UK.
The detail this die gives is stunning and I’m so glad I have it in my stash.
However, if you don’t have this die or a decorative corner die you can just cut you card front from the top left corner down to the bottom right corner.
These cards have a lot dimension so I made a nice presentation gift box for them.
These are my favourite papers from the pack.
I used the older V&A papers by Trimcraft which are still available from Hobbybase UK.
I choose to do a “Get Well Soon” card and “Thank you” card, however, this style would be perfect for a wedding card.
To make this card you will need…
A 6″ x 6″ card blank or 1 piece of 12″ x 6″ cardstock and score along the 12″ side at 6″.
1 piece of 5.7/8 x 5.7/8 plain paper to mat the inside of the card blank.
1 piece of 5.5/8 x 5.5/8 pattern paper to layer on top of the inside mat.
1 piece of 8.3/4 x 8.3/4 cardstock for the base of the box, will then need to trim a very small slither off of two sides, as shown in my video below. Then score at 1.1/4 on all 4 sides.
1 piece of 7.3/4 x 7.3/4 cardstock for the lid of your box, score all 4 sides at 3/4″
1 piece of 6″ x 6″ pattern paper to decorate the lid.
A sentiment and embellishments to decorate and create a little tuck spot.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.
There is plenty of room to write your message, either on the inside flap or the back.
This is such an eye-catching card and perfect for those special occasions.
As always thank you for popping by and reading my blog post.
I hope you give this card a go.
