Hi everyone, the second project for this year’s Easter Series 2019 are these cute carrot treat holders and matching crate gift bag.
I think I’ve got a thing for making carrots! This is the second year I’ve made them now in a different style and I think there are great.
I think these will be nice to give as an individual gift, or to hide them for an Easter Egg Hunt or to have as the centrepiece on the table.
Each carrot can be filled with chocolate treats and there is lots of room in them.
To make this project you will need…
Orange Card for the carrots, I used A5 size but you may make yours larger or smaller.
Green card for the carrot tops. Approximately 3.1/2 x 7-8″. Score along the short side at 1/2″
1 piece of 5″ x 6.7/8 kraft card for the base of the crate.
Score at 1/2″ on all 4 sides.
8 pieces of 1″ x 5.7/8 kraft card for the front and back slates.
8 pieces of 1″ x 4″ kraft card for the sides of the crate.
4 pieces of 1″ x 5.1/8. Along the 1″ side score at 1/2″
2 pieces of 5″ x 5.7/8 acetate
2 pieces of 4″ x 5″ acetate
1 piece of 1″ x A4 length kraft card for the handle.
The Kraft card I use is by Docrafts and available from Craft Stash here.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
The inspiration for this project came from the Welcome Spring magazine by Helz Cuppleditch. I will be using the papers and cuts from the magazine in my future Easter projects. The images are adorable!
You can find the magazine link to the Etsy store below.
It was this little image that made me make this project.

They are fun to open as well.
I hope you enjoyed this cute project from me today.
Have a wonderful weekend.
