Hi everyone, today I have this fun Pop-Up Birthday Cake card to share.
This is pretty straight forwarded to make you just need to make sure to line up all your score and cut lines perfectly.
I used the First Edition ‘Forever Free’ papers and the First Edition ‘Build A Cupcake’ dies.
I kept the front very simple so that the recipient would get a surprise when they opened it.
To make this card you will need…
1 coloured 5″ x 7″ card blank or a piece of 10″ x 7″ cardstock folded in half.
1 piece of 6.3/4 x 9.3/4 white cardstock. Score along the 9.3/4 side at 4.7/8
2 pieces of 1.7/8 x 1.7/8 patterned paper to decorate the largest cake tiers.
2 pieces of 1.3/8 x 1.3/8 patterned paper to decorate the middle cake tiers.
2 pieces of 7/8″ x 7/8″ patterned paper to decorate the smallest cake tiers.
1 piece of 4.3/4 x 6.3/4 glitter card to mat the front of the card.
My glitter card was from the Dovecraft Fairy Tales collection and is available from Craft Stash here.
1 piece of 4.1/2 x 6.1/2 pattern paper to layer on the front of the card.
Dies and stamps to decorate.
For all of the cutting and score lines please revert to my template and tutorial below.
The bunting dies I used are from The Works however they have now sold out.
If you don’t have the candle die I used, you can simply cut some thin strips of silver cardstock.
Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed today’s card.
Happy crafting
Sam
