Hi everyone, today I kick start my Father’s Day Series 2019, however, I won’t be sharing tutorials back to back, instead, I will be sharing them over the next 3 weeks.
First up I have these awesome Wash Bags to share.
I believe these were first done by a lady, whose channel name was Papercraft Button. I remember my mum making her version and introducing me to the style a few years ago, I was also inspired by Intatwyne Designs.
These are easy to make and remind me of the Chinese Fruit Box I made a couple years ago.
They have a self-closing closure and open up to reveal a nice size gift box.
They will hold a variety of gifts and are just the right size for a mini bottle of wine!
The paper pack I used is the First Edition Grand Plans Pad.
Available from my Amazon Store Front here.
The stamp set I used is the Docrafts, Papermania, Heritage Press collection.
I’ve found a seller on eBay here.
For the Velcro Dots, I used click here.
To make these wash bags you will need…
2 pieces of 11″ x 8.1/4
Score along the 11″ side at 1/2″ & 3.1/2
Score along the 8.1/4 side at 3″, 6″ just down to the second score line and then 7.1/4 & 7.3/4
Rotate back and along the 11″ side score at 2″ just down to the second scoreline.
2 pieces of 4.1/2 x 7.7/8
Wooden Dowels. Mine was purchased from The Works here.
2 pieces of 3.7/8 x 7.7/8 for the base.
2 pieces of 1/2″ x 2.1/2 cardstock for your tabs to fasten the gift box.
Ribbon or rope for the handles.
Velcro dots.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
I think this stamp set works great with this wash bag style.
Thank you for stopping by today
Happy crafting
