Vinyl Record or CD Card

Hi everyone, I’m still going strong with this year’s Creative Card Series 2019 and we are almost half way!

Today I’m sharing these fun Vinyl Record or CD Cards.

The inspiration for these came from the lovely Angela who is also on the Trimcraft Design Team. She made one of these a few years ago and shared it on her Facebook page recently. I asked if I could make it, so here is my twist.

I love the use of vellum to create a sleeve for the card, it gives it a more authentic finish.

I’ve used the new Dovecraft Holographic Tile Letters.

Available from Amazon here.

I cut the circles using the Xcut Circle Cutter available from Craft Stash here.

The papers used are from the new Paper Addicts ‘Viva Forever’ pack.

Available from Amazon here.

The ‘Birthday’ die is from the Bright Rosa ‘Birthday Words’ set, available from Craft Stash here.

If you use Holographic cardstock you can easily turn this into a realistic looking CD.

These will fit into a slightly extended 6″ x 6″ envelope and have lots of room inside to write a message.

To make these cards you will need…

1 piece of black cardstock 5.7/8 x A4 length roughly 11.3/4. Score along the long side at 5.7/8.

1 piece of 6″ x 6″ black cardstock.

1 piece of 6″ x 6″ white cardstock.

1 piece of 6.1/4 x A4 length vellum for the sleeve. Score along the long side at 5.7/8.

1 piece of 9.1/2 x 9.1/2 paper for the envelope. Using the Envelope Punch Board follow the instructions for a 6″ x 6″ envelope.

I cut the music notes from my Cricut machine.

Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made them.

I used a glitter gel pen to create the rings.

I stuck the ‘Birthday’ die on foam to create some dimension.
