Hi everyone, today I’m sharing my last card for this year’s Creative Card Series!
Tutorial number 14 is this awesome Large Double Display Fold card.
This is a big, measuring 24″ x 6″ when open! but it folds down nicely to 8″ x 6″ and fits nicely into an envelope.
I got the inspiration to make this after seeing a template by Susan Blue Robot on Pinterest. She shared a template for a smaller one she had made in 2009. I changed it up a little and doubled it. You can see the template for Susan’s one here.
You have so much room to write your message and it’s perfect for adding photos.
I used the lovely First Edition ‘Making Memories’ papers available from Amazon here.
I got a little ‘sentiment’ happy with this card but I love the ones I used.
They are from the ‘It’s The Little Things’ set by Woodware.
It’s a great stamp set and it’s still available here.
The ‘Birthday Girl’ stamp is by Dovecraft and available from eBay here.
To make these cards you will need…
2 pieces of 12″ x 6″ for the main card.
Score both pieces along the 12″ side at 2″, 4″ 8″ & 10″
Follow my video and template below to score and cut the other lines.
For all of the mats
6 pieces of 1.3/4 x 5.3/4 white paper for the long mats.
2 pieces of 3.3/4 x 3.3/4 white paper for the 2 square mats.
2 pieces of 3.3/4 x 5.3/4 white paper for the centre and back panel.
4 pieces of 1.3/4 x 3.3/4 white paper for the thin smaller mats.
12 pieces of 1.3/4 x 3/4″ white paper for the smallest mats.
For the layers
6 pieces of 1.1/2 x 5.1/2 pattern paper for the long layers.
2 pieces of 3.1/2 x 3.1/2 pattern paper for the square layers.
1 piece of 3.1/2 x 5.1/2 pattern paper for the centre layer.
4 pieces of 1.1/2 x 3.1/2 pattern paper for the thin smaller layers.
12 pieces of 1.1/2 x 1/2″ pattern paper for the smallest layers.
1 piece of 12″ x 1.1/2 card for the belly band.
Large oval dies for the belly band. My Tonic ones are no longer on sale but Hunkydory has a nice set here.
For the envelope, you need 1 piece of 11.1/2 x 11.1/2 paper. Using the Envelope Punch Board follow the measurements for the biggest envelope 6″ x 8.1./2
You can purchase the Envelope Punch Board here.
