5″ x 7″ & 6″ x 6″ Envelope Boxes

Hi everyone, today is a very boring, yet very useful tutorial!

After the last 2 weeks of cardmaking and with some having a lot of dimension, I thought It would be a good idea to make a separate video for these box envelopes for you to refer too when needed.

Envelope Boxes

I’ve made 2 styles both in 6″ x 6″ & 5″ x 7″

First a Gift Box style with a separate lid and then a Flip Lid style.

Envelope Boxes

In my video below, I show the Gift Box style first, if you would like the Flip Lid style you need to skip to minutes.

To make the Envelope Boxes you will need…

For the Gift Box Style

6″ x 6″ Size

1 piece of 8.1/4 x 8.1/4 cardstock for the base.

Score at 1″ on all 4 sides after you have cut away a small sliver from 2 of the sides, as shown in my video below.

1 piece of  7.3/4 x 7.3/4 cardstock for the lid.

Score at 3/4″ on all 4 sides.

5″ x 7″ Size

1 piece of 7.1/4 x 9.1/4 cardstock for the base.

Score at 1″ on all 4 sides after you have cut away a small sliver from 2 of the sides, as shown in my video below.

1 piece of 6.3/4 x 8.3/4 cardstock for the lid.

Score at 3/4″ on all 4 sides.

For the Flip Lid Style

6″ x 6″ Size

1 piece of 8.1/4 x 8.1/4 cardstock for the front

Score along all 4 sides at 1″

1 piece of 8.1/4 x 8.3/4 cardstock for the back

Score along the 8.1/4 side at 1″ & 7.1/4

Score along the 8.3/4 side at 1″, 7.1/4 & 8.1/4

5″ x 7″ Size

1 piece of 7.1/4 x 9.1/4 cardstock for the front

Score along the 9.1/4 side at 1″ & 8.1/4

Score along the 7.1/4 side at 1″ & 6.1/4
