Hey everyone, today I’m revisiting the Wiper Card I made a couple years ago, this is a great interactive card and very fun to make.
The one I made first was 6″ x 6″ in size so today I’m sharing a 5″ x 7″ version.
You can find my tutorial for the other side at the bottom of this blog post.
I like to use acetate for my wiper mechanism as this really makes you image look like it’s flying!
These are easy to make and once you make one, I’m sure you will get hooked!
The stamp on the back is from the very popular Dovecraft Essentials Set from Amazon here.
The stamp set I choose for today’s card is the lovely ‘Fabulous 50’s’ A4 set from Craft Stash here. This set is currently £2.99 and I encourage you to check out the other A4 sets, I have them and they are great too.
The large Happy Birthday die is from the Bright Rosa Birthday Words die set available from Craft Stash here.
To make this card you will need…
2 pieces of 5″ x 10″ coloured cardstock for the main card.
Score along the 10″ side on both pieces at 1.1/2 & 3″
1 piece of 6.3/4 x 4.3/4 white card to mat the front.
1 piece of 6.3/4 x 4.3/4 pattern paper to mat the back.
1 piece of 6.1/2 x 4.1/2 pattern paper to layer on the front.
1 piece of 6.1/2 x 4.1/2 white card to layer on the back for your message.
4 pieces of 1.1/4 x 4.3/4 card to mat the 4 sides.
4 pieces of 1″ x 4.1/2 pattern paper to layer onto the 4 sides.
1 piece of 3″ x 4.1/2 cardstock or acetate for the wiper mechanism.
Check out my full tutorial below.
I hope you like today’s card style and give it a go.
Below is my video for the 6″ x 6″ version.
