Hi Friends, last week my nan was visiting so my blog posts have been all over the place, she went home yesterday after a nice long visit, so I’m catching up now on everything.
On Friday I shared this fun and interactive Secret Message Card.
You have 4 separate paneled areas, but can you find them all!?
With some simple cut lines and clever weaving of some card stock, you can create this card very quickly.
This is a great card for announcing something or for a work colleague as you have a lot of areas to write and hide some silly messages.
This was a requested tutorial, the concept is old and I remember doing something similar when I was younger, now I think of it, it may have been in my Paul Daniels magic kit!
SUPPLIES USED TO MAKE THIS CARD
Pebbles – Happy Cake Day collection available here.
MEASUREMENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THIS CARD
1 piece of 10″ x 7″ card for the main card base.
Score along the 10″ side at 2.1/2, 5″ & 7.1/2, then fold in half and with the folded side running along the top of your scoreboard score or cut at 1.3/4, 3.1/2 & 5.1/4
2 pieces of 2.3/8 x 7″ white card for the middle panels.
4 pieces of 2.1/4 x 6.3/4 white card to cover the 4 outer panels
4 pieces of 2″ x 6.1/2 pattern paper to layer on top.
16 pieces of 2.1/4 x 1.1/2 pattern paper to cover 4 panels on each section.
1 strip of 1.1/2 x 12″ card for the belly band.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
The belly band is optional but I do think it holds the card together nicely.
Thank you for stopping by today.
Happy crafting
Sam
