Hi friends, I recently shared a tutorial showing you how I made this very kitsch Light Up Shadow Box.
I love making these, I made a lovely one for Christmas last year.
They make great decorations and are fun to make too.
I wanted to really fill this one up and make it very OTT!
I love the easter egg-shaped flashing lights, which I picked up from Bastins.
I hid the battery pack behind the back with a little hot glue to hold it in place.
I used the Dovecraft Over The Rainbow 12 x 12 paper pad to cover this but I can’t find it available online anywhere in the 12 x 12 size.
2mm Greyboard available here.
MEASUREMENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THIS
1 piece of 12 x 12 greyboard for the back
2 pieces of 4″ x 12″ greyboard for the sides
2 pieces of 4″ x 11.3/4 greyboard for the top and bottom sides
4 pieces of 3.3/4 x 11.1/2 to cover both sides of the top and bottom sides
4 pieces of 3.3/4 x 11.3/4 pattern paper to cover both sides of the sides of the box.
2 pieces of 11.3/4 to cover the inside back and very back of the box
Strips of 1″ x 12″ for the hinges, you will cut some of these down for the smaller corners.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed this fun project and it made you smile.
Happy crafting
Sam

Love these boxes Sam. Would look lovely on a mantle or someplace that you would have an eye on it and be able to see it. Be safe & TYFS
