Hi everyone, earlier today I shared a tutorial showing you how to make a lovely School Satchel Style Gift Bag.
I made this red version during Tuesday’s Facebook Live, it’s such a great looking gift bag and a nice size too!
I loved how real this one looks and thought they would be great for back to school gifts, new school gifts or if your homeschooling currently, they could be used as a nice way to hold some treats for rewards etc
I love the buckle details and the real looking label.
These bags fold flat making them perfect to make now and store away for later.
You have a large pocket on the front and then the large main area.
SUPPLIES USED TO MAKE THESE
Simple Made Crafts Doctor’s Bag for the buckle details available here.
MEASUREMENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THESE
2 pieces of 12 x 12 card for the front and back.
Score both pieces of 3.1/2 and 1 at 5.1/4 as well so it can fold flat.

Score along the 12″ side at 3.1/2 & 5.1/4
Score along the 4.1/2 side at 1/2″ & 4″ and 2.1/4 down to the first scoreline.
1 piece of 12″ x 4.1/2″ card for the lid.
Score along the 4.1/2″ side at 3.1/2″ & 4″
