Luxury Flip Lid Selection Boxes! with Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone, it’s become a thing now, where I make my own Selection Boxes to hold the chocolates I choose. I’ve also added a space to present a gift card.

Making your own means you can personalise them and It’s also cost-effective.

I added a flip lid to these, giving them a luxurious feel. You can also use these boxes to gift a nice scarf or some smaller gifts.

Last year’s version was this deluxe style with sliding draws.

I got 11 chocolates in these and I paid £8 for all the chocolate across 3 boxes, making these less than £3 a box, which is so much cheaper than buying one of these sizes in the shops.

You could also stack 3 of these boxes on top of each other and just put the flip lid onto the top one.

SUPPLIES USED TO MAKE THESE BOXES

MEASUREMENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THESE BOXES

1 piece of 8.1/4 x 11″ card for the top of the box

Score along the 11″ side at 1/2″, 1.1/2 & 10″ and the side at 1″ & 7.1/4

1 piece of 8.1/4 x 9.1/2 card for the bottom of the box.

Score along the 9.1/2 side at 8.1/2 and the 8.1/4 side at 1″ & 7.1/4

1 piece of 7.1/4 x 8.1/2 card for the lid.

Score along the 7.1/4 side at 1″

2 pieces of 8.1/4 x 6″ mirror card and 2 pieces of 8″ x 5.3/4 pattern paper to cover the top and inside of the lid.

1 piece of 5.3/4 x 8 gold card for the inside frame

1 piece of 7.1/2 x 5.1/4 gold card for the inside frame

1 piece of 5.1/2 x 7.1/2 acetate
