Striking Multi-Step Accordion Card

Hi everyone, today I’m sharing another showstopper card, this Multi-Step Accordion Card will certainly stand out from all the rest!

When the recipient opens the card, the accordion section pops out!

There’s a lot of space inside this card for you to decorate and personalise.

I’ve kept the very back of the card for my written message.

MEASUREMENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THIS CARD

2 pieces of 6′ x 6′ card stock for the front and back, if you are doing the same card as shown, or a 6′ x 6′ card blank for the other style I show in the tutorial.

1 piece of 6′ x 12’card for the centre, accordion piece.

Score along the 12′ side at 1.3/4, 2.1/2, 3.1/2, 7.4/7, 6′, 7.1/8, 8.1/2, 9.1/2 & 10.1/4 then follow my template and tutorial below for the other score and cut lines.

2 pieces of 5.3/4 x 1.1/2 pattern paper for the ‘C’ shape mats.

2 pieces of 3.3/4 x 5.3/4 pattern paper for the large inside, side mats.

4 strips of 1/2′ x 2.3/4 pattern paper for the smallest pop out sides.

4 strips of 3/4′ x 3.3/4 pattern paper for the medium pop out sides.

2 strips of 7/8′ x 5.3/4 pattern paper for the centre mats.

4 pieces of 1.1/8 x 3/4′ pattern paper for the outer corner rectangular mats.

4 pieces of 3/4′ x 3/4′ pattern paper for the small square mats.

4 pieces of 1/2′ x 1.1/4 pattern paper for the other smaller rectangle mats.

2 pieces of 5.3/4 x 5.3/4 pattern paper for the front and back of the card.

This is how the card looks on the front.

I stamped the Happy Birthday in purple on one card and silver embossing powder on the other.
