Origami Faceted Gift Boxes in Any Size

Hi everyone, yesterday I shared my Origami Faceted Gift Box which you can make in any size you like.

Origami Faceted Gift Boxes

I was inspired to make these after seeing them made on the Paper Folds YouTube channel. I have changed mine in a few ways and made them with card stock and not origami paper.

You can make these in any size you like as long as your card stock has equal sides.

I made 3, one using 12 x 12 card, one from 10 x 10 and a tiny one from one piece of 6 x 6.

These look extremely complicated and hard to make but I promise they are very straight forward.

The original version of this style box cant actually hold much if anything in it, which seemed a shame as they are such fun and unusual boxes.

I found a easy solution to just remove the inside bulk and change the fold of the inside pieces so they fold outwards instead.

By doing this it made them into a use-able gift box.

The folds on this box, really are beautiful and the finished shape is awesome.

To make these you will need any size square card stock. Below you will find listed the measurements for the sizes I show in my tutorial.

For the 12″ x 12″ size score at 3″, 6″ & 9 on both sides.

For the 10″ x 10″ size score at 2.1/2, 5″ & 7.1/2 on both sides.

For the 6″ x 6″ size score at 1.1/2, 3″ & 4.1/2 on both sides.

The paper used is the First Edition “Floral Fusion” pack available from Amazon.

I finished my gift boxes with eyelets, these are a great way for reinforcing your punched holes so they don’t rip. You can pick up eyelets and pliers here.

Use my template below along with my tutorial for all the other folds.

Here is the smallest one I made using a 6″ x 6″ sheet, this one you can see I have folded the outer pieces inside, which gives it a very different look.

I cant wait to make these for Christmas, they will look wonderful under the tree.
