Hi everyone, I’ve been busy making this Large Wall Decoration for Halloween.
I’ve opted for a more colourful and fun Halloween this year, as soon as I got the First Edition “Fiesta Fever” papers from Trimcraft I would be using them for Halloween.
The clash of colour and prints just work so well and the rosettes and large flowers scream Day of the Dead!
I used a lot of supplies to make this but think it’s worth it as I plan to keep this for as many years as possible.
It’s all about the detail, I just kept going and going and had to stop myself from going to over the top!!!
How cool are those Sugar Skulls?
I made a smaller rosette wreath for Easter which you may also like.
To make this or similar you will need…
2 pieces of 12 x 12 paper to make the large 12″ diameter rosette. You need to cut the 12″ x 12″ paper in half so that you have 4 pieces of 6″ x 12″
1 piece of 12″ x 12″ paper to make two 6″ diameter rosettes. Cut the 12″ x 12″ paper into 4 strips of 3″ x 12″
2 pieces of 12″ x 12″ paper to make six 4″ diameter rosettes. Cut the 12″ x 12″ paper into 4 strips of 2″ x 12″
2 pieces of 12″ x 12″ paper to make the twelve 2″ diameter rosettes. Cut the 12″ x 12″ paper into 12 strips of 1″ x 12″
All of the above sizes need to be scored along the 12″ side at every 1/2″
I used the WRMK (We R Memory Keepers) Flower Punch Board to make the 2 large flowers. Available from Amazon.
A selection of die cut flowers and embellishments.
For my “Happy Halloween” sign I used plastic letters from old board games.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
As always I hope this has inspired you, these are perfect for any occasion or holiday and I will certainly be making a Christmas version.
Have a wonderful weekend.
