Hello everyone, last week I shared how to make this beautiful Christmas Mini Album for 6″ x 4″ photos.
I do love making Mini Albums, there is something about holding a finished album in you’re hands, which beats any shop bought one!
I wanted an album to hold 6″ x 4″ photos and can’t wait to fill this one, this year.
I stuck with 3 different page layouts and then duplicated them throughout the album.
I did a pocket page with a photo mat.
A tuck spot layout.
Then a flip page to hold two 6″ x 4″ photos and a 4″ x 4″ photo, along with some journaling.
To make this album you will need…
2 pieces of 5.1./2 x 9″ 2mm chipboard for cereal box card doubled up. These will form the front and back pages of your mini album.
10 pieces of 5″ x 8.1/4″ Kraft card for your pages.
2 pieces of 10.1/2 x 7.1/2 pattern paper to cover your chipboard pieces.
2 pieces of 5.1/4 x 8.5/8 red card to stick on the inside of your front and back pages.
2o pieces of 4.3./4 x 7.1/4 pattern paper to mat all of your pages.
Flip pages
4 pieces of 11.3/4 x 4.1/2 for your flip pages. Score along the longest side at 4.1/2.
8 pieces of 6.5/8 x 4.1/4 pattern paper to mat your flip pages.
4 pieces of 4.1/4 x 4.1/4 pattern paper to mat the square area of your flip page.
Pocket pages
5 pieces of 8″ x 3.1/2 Kraft card for your pockets. Score along 3 of the sides at 1/2.
5 pieces of 2.5/8 x 6.5/8 to mat your pockets.
5 pieces of 2.3/8 x 6.3/8 to layer on top of your mats.
Tuck spot pages
These can be made however you like, I used the cut outs from the paper pack.
Photo mats
I used 8 photo mats measuring 4.1/2 x 6.1/2 but you can have double the amount if you wish.
16 pieces of 6.1/4 x 4.1/4 plain paper to mat on both sides of each photo page.
I used 2″ binder rings available from Amazon or eBay.
All decoration is entirely down to you. If you would like to get your hands on the Echo Park papers I used I’ve found them here or visit Thompson’s Craft Supplies for the newer Echo Park collection below.
You can find very similar gold metal corner protectors here.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
I also added these extra pages, shown below, for me to add more journaling. These were made using the cutouts in the paper pack.
I added little bells and my real life looking leaves from some Ikea flowers I purchased.
Thank you for stopping by today.
Happy crafting.
