Hi everyone I recently shared this cute Pop Up Box Card that I made for my friend’s daughter Isla.
Those of you who have been following me for some time will know how much I love this Krafty Panda “Magical Unicorns” stamp set. Unfortunately its no longer available however there are so many other wonderful Unicorn stamp sets.
The pencil’s I used are the Reeves watercolour pencils which are available from Amazon.
I really like these, they blend perfectly and are great value for money.
These cards are always popular and they fold flat making them easy to post.
To make this card you will need…
1 piece of 11″ x 5″ pink cardstock.
2 strips of 4.1/4 x 1/2″ to attach your pop up pieces too.
Score along the 4.1/4 side at 1/2″ & 3.3/4
1 piece 3″ x 1.3/4 white card for your back flap.
1 piece of 1.5/8 x 2.7/8 blue cardstock to layer on top.
1 piece of 1.1/2 2.3/4 yellow cardstock to layer on top again.
2 pieces of 1.3/4 x 1.3/4 white cardstock to mat your small square sides flaps.
2 pieces of 1.5/8 x 1.5/8 blue cardstock to layer on top of your side flaps.
2 pieces of 1.1/2 x 1.1/2 yellow cardstock to layer on top of your side flaps again.
2 pieces of 1.3/4 x 2.3/4 white cardstock to mat your sides.
2 pieces of 1.5/8 x 2.5/8 blue cardstock to layer on top of your sides.
2 pieces of 1.1/2 x 2.1/2 yellow cardstock to layer on top of your sides again.
2 pieces of 2.3/4 x 3″ white cardstock, one for the front and one for the back to write your message on.
1 piece of 2.5/8 x 2.7/8 of blue cardstock to layer on top of your front white piece.
1 piece of 2.1/2 x 2.3/4 yellow cardstock to layer over your yellow piece at the front.
1/2″ strips of strong acetate, I re-use the packaging acetate from the dies I buy.
Stamp images and embellishments to decorate.
Check out my full tutorial below to see how I made it.
You have a nice space on the back to write your message.
These cards really work well for most occasions and are perfect to personalise.
I added glitter to the clouds on the rainbow, the star, and the unicorn’s horn.
You can add as many pop up elements as you like.
