Double Circle Shaker Card

Hi everyone, another week begins and to kick start this one I have these very pretty Double Circle Shaker Cards to share with you all.

I love shaker cards and hadn’t made one yet this year so I thought I would make this large one from an 8″ x 8″ card base.

The great thing about circle shaker cards is you can make them any size you like and using things you have around the house.

I used the new Dovecraft Fairy Tales collection, it’s very pretty and sparkly and so easy to create with. You can see the full collection over on my Amazon Store Front here.

Like I said you can use items from around your house to make this circle shape, any side plates or circle objects you have will work just as well, however, I do love to use my favourite Xcut Circle Cutter. This has featured a lot in my tutorials and is such a handy tool to have on your craft table.

As you can make these any size you want, I’m just going to list the measurements I used, using my Circle Cutter.

You will need…

Any square equal side card base, for example, 5″ x 5″, 6″ x 6″ or in my case 8″ x 8″. If you would like to try some bigger card bases the 8″ x 8″ ones are available from Hobbycraft.

Cut your card base with your cutter set to 7.1/2 or use a plate with an approximate diameter of 7.1/2.

Cut a piece of pattern paper the same size to decorate the front of your shaker card.

Cut a piece of acetate the same size.

Cut a piece of card stock the same size for your frame.

You will need to cut another circle inside the frame piece, setting your Circle Cutter to just over 6.1/2

A nest of circle dies to create your smaller frame in the middle.

Sequins or small embellishments to decorate the front.

The silver die cut leaves and big bows are from my own stash, everything else if from the Dovecraft Fairy Tale collection.

The tiny fairies look like Tinkerbell!
