Hi everyone, this week kick starts my Creative Card Series 2019.
It’s in its 3rd year now and basically means for the next 2 weeks I will be sharing nothing but fun fold cards, something with a difference.
Some cards you will recognise whereas others are new.
First up I have an old faithful..the Pop-Up Box Card.
This is a larger size measuring 6″ x 2″ and fits into a handmade envelope.
I used the free Pop-Up Box Kit with the current issue 176 of Papercraft Essentials magazine.
Available from Craft Stash here.
Pop-Up Box Cards is one of my favourites to make, they just always look great and work for so many occasions.
There is plenty of room to write your message on the back.
And they fold flat making them easy to post.
To make this you will need…
8 strips of 1/2″ x 6″ white card for the front and back.
8 strips of 1/2″ x 2″ white card for the sides.
4 pieces of 1″ x 3.1/4 white card for the corner hinges. Score along the 1″ side at 1/2″
2 strips of 7″ x 1/2″ white card to the inside.
Strong acetate to attach the pop-up pieces.
1 piece of 11.1/2 x 11.1/2 paper for the envelope.
I used the envelope punch board to make the larger envelope. The punch board is available from Craft Stash here.
Check out my full tutorial below.
Papercraft Essentials Magazine always offer great free gifts and this kit is no exception, you get so much and can make lots of cards.
There are 2 pages of sentiment toppers to choose from, with different occasions.
Thank you for stopping by today.
If you would like to share anything you have made following my tutorials please head over to facebook and join my group Mixed Up Crafters here.
Happy crafting

Lovely card, thanks for sharing. Gail
It’s so beautiful and it’s perfect timing because I am making a gift box of all occasions cards! That will be my 1st birthday card. Fingers crossed it will work! Thank you for the inspiration. Denise
This is wonderful and looks easy enough to follow and make one. Gotta try it. Beautiful, as always Sam!!
