Hello, everyone, earlier today I shared this unusual boat-shaped gift bag.
Those of you who follow me, know I love to create gift bags that are a little different each time.
This one has evolved from this Treat Bag I made a while ago.
Check out the tutorial below for this smaller version.
For today’s bag, I used the Paper Addicts ‘Viva Forever’ papers by Trimcraft
This is available from Amazon here.
The ‘Happy Birthday’ die I used is by Creative Expressions and available here.
To make this gift bag you will need…
2 pieces of 9.1/2 x 12″ coloured card for the front and back of the bag.
Score along the 12″ side at 3.1/2
Along the 9.1/2 side put a notch at 1.1/2 & 8″
2 pieces of 9.1/4 x 8.1/4 pattern paper to cover the front and back of the bag.
Along the 9.1/4 side put a pencil mark at 1.1/2 & 7.3/4
2 pieces of 4.1/2 x 6″ pattern paper for the sides of the bag.
Score along the 4.1/2 side at 1/2″ & 4″
Score along the 6″ side at 5″
2 pieces of 1″ x A3 length as I used or 12″ card for the handles.
4 die-cut circles approximately 1.1/4 in diameter.
1 piece of coloured card for the flap closure.
1 piece of pattern paper to cover the flap.
Velcro dot for closure, I used 20mm dots from the Dot & Dab range here.
Embellishments to decorate.
Check out my full tutorial below.
This is a really roomy bag with room for those larger gifts.
Thank you for stopping by today.
Happy crafting
Sam
