Hello everyone, earlier this week I shared this awesome Concertina Spring Card.
This was a requested tutorial after I was sent a picture of one that Youtuber Shrushi Patil had done. Hers is in cm and much bigger so I played around and came up with this version.
I had not long received my design team package from Trimcraft and one of the paper pads I got was the gorgeous Festive Folly.
One of the papers was a full sheet of advent numbers, which worked perfectly for this card style.
The Paper Addicts Festive Folly pad I used, is currently sold out, but hopefully, it will be back in stock soon.
You could place all the numbers in order, but I really like the random layout.
This card style is designed to be hung, so the recipient can appreciate all the sides to the card.
You have lots of space on the bottom to stamp and write your message. I used my Crafters Companion Christmas sentiments stamps, which are available here.
To make these you will need…
12 strips of 6.1/2 x 2″ coloured card
Score along the 6.1/2 side at 2″,4″ & 6″
24 pieces of 1.7/8 x 1.7/8 mirrored card
24 pieces of 1.3/4 x 1.3/4 Advent Numbers or anything you want to decorate each square.
You will also need another 5 squares the same size as above for the top of the card and then inside the card to cover each level inside.
1 piece of 6″ x 6″ for the base.
2 pieces of 5.3/4 x 5.3/4 mirrored card to mat both sides of the base.
1 piece of 5.1/2 x 5.1/2 pattern paper to layer onto the base.
1 piece of 5.1/2 x 5.1/2 white paper to stamp and write your message.
Ribbon to hang the card.
Check out my full tutorial below.
This card fits perfectly into my 6″ x 6″ Envelope Box
